Words Of Inspiration | Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled
Facing Fear And Adversity
John
14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Psalms 31:7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou
has considered my trouble; thou has known my soul in adversities; 8 And hast not shut me up into the hand of the
enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
Dear Friends: May it bless your heart to know that those who truly
love God and courageously try to live by faith and walk in love will face fear and adversity along the way.
May it comfort you somehow to know that in this you are not alone. If you are facing extreme adversity or
struggling with fearful situations may these words of inspiration express to you that our God is an awesome
God and He is able to deliver us from the enemy’s clutches. We will already be halfway home when we stop and
face the fears in our lives, and with God’s help begin to deal with adversities head on. By stopping I mean
absolutely stop, turn around, look at that fearful situation squarely and tell yourself you aren’t going to be
afraid and on the run anymore because the Bible promises God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of
power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:3).
Being afraid causes us to make poor decisions in life, which in turn could lead to adversities that are rather of
our own making. Being paralyzed by fear and doubt hinders us from living as God intended and being all He has
created us to be in that we don’t move freely in His love and trust Him with our lives. If we doubt His very
existence or His unconditional love for us we will shrink back in fear and not move out in faith and experience the
abundant life He has for us. John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and
to destroy: I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.
Trials and tribulations are common to the race of man, but I am writing today to encourage you, dear ones, not to
be overcome by fear and adversity. It is my prayer that these words of inspiration will empower you to rise up and
walk in faith and victory, knowing God is for you and not against you. God has your best interests at heart, and as
the scripture above states, He has known your soul in adversities, and truly has known our soul to a degree we
cannot fathom. God is very much aware of the hard places and negative circumstances in our lives. He has considered
the troubles we are going through and has not given us over to the adversary, rather as we reach out to Him for
help, and trust in Him when we are fearful or afraid, He will set our feet in a larger place.
Isaiah
35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with
vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Fear may have you feeling boxed in at present. Your adversities may leave you with the impression that you are
unable to move in any direction. But take hold the Hand of God, beloved, ask Jesus to come into your heart and be
the Lord of your life. He will see you through the adversity. He will calm every fear and you shall obtain joy and
gladness for sorrow and sighing shall flee away (Isaiah 35:10). He will come and save
you!
The grace of our Lord be with you
all.
