Words Of Inspiration | Maladies Of Fear And Worry

Fear Not

1 Chronicles 28:20b-c  Be strong and of a good courage, and do it: fear not nor be dismayed: for the Lord, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee or forsake thee…

Words of InspirationDear Friends - These words of inspiration and words of encouragement are to illustrate the danger of fear and worry and their destruction in our lives if we leave them unchecked. It is my prayer that these words will be a reminder to you that if you find yourself in fear and worry take time to talk to God about it. Take time to realize that fear and fearful thoughts need immediate attention. God’s word says fear is not of the Lord but of power and of love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear absolutely has torment. Fear increases worry, and worry in turn increases fear, which negates our faith walk, and if not kept in check can send us on a rapidly downward spiral in life which can in time lead to depression, physical sickness, hopelessness and ultimate despair. These conditions in turn cloud our vision and change our focus from trusting God and His goodness to an uncertainty and restlessness that often lead to poor judgment and bad decisions, possibly giving birth to more fear and increased stress.

Fear is the opposite of faith and without faith there is a lack of ability to trust God or believe He is there for us, that He is a very present help in trouble. It is easy in today’s world to become fearful of many things but we are to take captive every thought that tries to set itself up against God’s word and promises for us. We are to set our minds on things above and not beneath, things of God and all His precious promises to us and not things of the earth. Let these words of inspiration and words of encouragement be a revelation to you, a fresh word of anointing from my heart to yours that sometimes we literally have to refuse to allow fear to take hold in our thoughts and hearts, even though in the natural things may be happening that are fearful. Speak His word out loud when fear and worry come against you, sow seeds of faith and trust in Him by believing His best even in the face of negative circumstances.

In Psalms 91 God’s promises are given in detail concerning all these things, the pestilence and disease we cannot see, the destruction at noonday, the terror by night, etc. It says if we are abiding under His wings we will not be afraid of all these things. If we have made Him our habitation and our refuge no evil shall befall us. For He shall give His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. And ultimately, the end of this beautiful passage of scripture says God will deliver us and honor us because we have known Him and loved Him - with long life will He satisfy us and show us His salvation.

What words of encouragement to overcome fear and worry. What words of inspiration to the fearful soul, full of the promise of God’s love and care for His dear children. Beloved friends, dwell in the secret place of the most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He will of a certainty be your refuge and your fortress. Let Him take your fear and your worry. Lay down every anxiety at His wounded feet and allow yourself to trust Him. Allow yourself the precious freedom to let go and let God be all you need. In Psalms 50:15 scripture says to call upon God in the day of trouble and He will deliver you and you shall glorify Him.

So I write these words of inspiration and words of encouragement to lift you up if you are struggling with fear and worry, to give you a renewed hope through God’s word that as it says in Psalms 55:11 - He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me. Let Him deliver your soul today, dear friend, from fear and all the torment and unrest it brings. Tuck yourself under His wings and allow His love to settle you and establish you. Truly in this you will find rest for your soul.

The grace of our Lord be with you all.
