A Creation For God's Glory

2 Corinthians 17b-18, 19c, 6:2...They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun. All this newness of life is from God who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. This is the wonderful message that he has given us to tell others. We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. For God says, "At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you." Indeed, God is ready to help you right now. Today is the day of salvation. (NLT)

Dear Friends-I praise God today for the uniqueness that is mine. I thank Him for making me just as He did, flaws and all. For when He made each of us His word declares that He looked over all He had made and declared it was excellent in every way-Genesis 1:31 NLT, and God looked at all He had made and declared it was not just good, but very good-Genesis 1:31 KJV.

A precious sister in Christ defines it this way:

 Unique.....existing as the only one, or sole example: single: solitary in type or characteristic.
Grace.....Gods gift of salvation, granted to sinners for their salvation: It is God-given, made possible by Jesus Christ....and none other.
So blessed are we, to be made thru Him and of Him, being covered by His Grace, even when we don't deserve it.

Just as He gives each one of us gifts, He created each one of us in His image, but with our own personalities, our own pasts, individual likes and dislikes, frailties and strengths, all unique, all a blessing to Him and to us. Scripture says, "shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou?" (Isaiah 45:9). So rather than ask God why He made us as He did,  we allow Him to come glorify Himself through us. He's the potter, we're the clay, and He will mold us and make us as He desires, but we must be a willing vessel on the Potter's wheel. Our uniqueness in His hands becomes a shining light, a pearl of great price, a wonder to many and a beacon of hope. Can we but desire so great a salvation and celebration of just being our true selves?

Beloved, scripture says in Isaiah 46:4-And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. What a great and precious promise to us, His children. He made us, He bears with us in our weaknesses and sufferings whether we created these issues or they were divinely allowed, and He carries us through when we can no longer bear up under the pressure or find the strength to go on, ultimately delivering us because we trusted in Him. Nothing in our makeup is beyond the reach of God's outstretched arm of love and grace.

In celebrating our uniqueness we allow God to be God. Being unique allows us to think and operate outside the box of self-critique, men's judgment, feelings of low self-esteem and unworthiness. If we keep our focus on who we are in Christ we allow the uniqueness specifically created in us to blossom, to flourish and come alive, we are in essence allowing the Light of our lives to reach out to others, to shine for all to see, that Christ in us is our hope of glory. Christ in us doesn't change who we are and our biological makeup, but Christ in us changes our perspective of who we are and our ability to rise up and be all He created us to be without fear of rejection or failure. Yes men will reject us but God will never leave us or forsake us. Yes as mere humans we will fail, and fail utterly at times, but God's word says all things work together for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Roman's 8:28), and further that what the enemy means for evil God will use for good.

This is why our uniqueness is such a reason for celebration. The work of Christ is finished and God sees us as covered in the blood of His Son, all clean and sparkling white, an empty canvas anxiously awaiting the precious strokes of a loving God to paint our lives anew and afresh, to lead us to places we would have never dreamed of going.

Our humanness doesn't limit the God of the Universe in His unfailing love and care of His children. In fact, it rather highlights His goodness and unending mercy and grace to us. After all, while we were YET sinners, Christ died for us. God loved us so much He sent His Son to die in our place, not because we stood right before Him or had done all these gloriously wonderful things, but while we were YET sinners. So we stand before Him utterly defenseless, without words to argue our point if we get into much complaining about why me and why this, or the many whys we often ask in frustration or desperation. The Lord has covered it all in grace and love, and His arm is outstretched still. Though man rebels and gives up, the Lord leaves the 90 and 9 and comes to find us. His Word to us is still, "Come, and I will give you rest. All who come unto me I will in no wise cast out".

So make Jesus the Lord of your life today. Let this wonderful Savior take the wheel of your destination and show you great and precious promises out of His Word you might have never known before. You can come just as you are. In fact, just as you are is excellent in every way, and very good in God's opinion remember. Let Him take your uniqueness and use it for His glory. For our God uses the base and weak things of the world to confound the wise. When we're "not all that" in our own estimation we become "all that" in the Potter's hands. What is unique to you is a beautiful gift from God. He celebrates your uniqueness for He knew you even in your mother's womb, and He is even now carrying you to your old age.
